Elocom presents their device for embossing and micro-perforation at Expobioenergía

The system has been developed to create roughness, or embossing, in sacks containing pellets to increase stability and joining.

The embossing system is a set of bevelled needles placed on a metal roller that put pressure on a plastic sheet to give it uniform linear roughness. It is used both in flat reel and sheet reel sacking machines.

The outstanding advantages featured on this device are:

• Saving in stretchable film during outer-packaging. Film consumption is cut by approximately 50%, without affecting pallet stability.
• Pallet stability. Embossing allows for better grip between the sacks on different layers during palleting, which means stack stability and pallet appearance are improved.

The system is ideal for dusty environments as it avoids sacks sliding over each other. The device can be used to prepare hermetic sacks for hygroscopic products.
